How long do Kaiser test results take? ›

Test results are usually available within 24 hours and are automatically saved to your electronic health record. That means your care team knows you've been tested and can reach out to you with the necessary information, depending on your test results.

As one of our members, you have the right to get a second opinion. As a California member, simply contact your local Member Services department or call our Member Services Contact Center for help in arranging a second opinion.

You return this to your doctor or a lab. There is a FIT test that shows the results right away. If your test shows that blood was found in your stool sample, call your doctor as soon as you can. Follow-up care is a key part of your treatment and safety.

Getting your blood test results

You may get your blood test results after a few days, and usually within a few weeks. If you do not hear anything after a few weeks, contact the GP surgery or specialist. The GP, nurse, or specialist should talk to you about your results and explain what happens next.

Second opinions don't hurt and in fact may even help

Keep in mind that doctors are human and they too can make mistakes or be faced with unusual or challenging cases.

The Kaiser Permanente Survey call is a spam robocall that has been sent to millions of consumers. The robocall prompts users to press a number that will connect them with a specialist to take a short health survey. Since people have not opted in to receive this type of call, it is considered spam.

To start a Kaiser case, a letter demanding arbitration is all that is needed. The arbitrator selection process, though, can be protracted and difficult.

Results. Urine culture results are usually ready in 1 to 3 days.

Results. You can get the test results from your baby's doctor or clinic. It usually takes up to 6 weeks for the results to come in. Initial positive test results are immediately telephoned to a Kaiser Permanente follow-up coordinator who contacts the newborn's physician to arrange for further testing.

Your tissue samples are sent to a doctor (pathologist) who specializes in evaluating biopsies. It may take 3 to 5 days for the biopsy results to come back. Normal results mean there are no problems with the tissue and no signs of cancer. Abnormal results mean the biopsy shows changes in the tissue.

The results of most common blood tests are available within a day or 2. Some blood tests may take longer than this. Ask your doctor when your results are likely to be ready and whether they will contact you about the result. They may recommend a follow-up appointment to discuss your results.
