In the episode, it is mentioned that MM has stopped eating due to him working too hard as well as stress, with these two factors causing him to lose weight in The Boys.
This explanation actually makes sense due to MM's story in The Boys season 4. MM has taken over as the leader of the titular team just as things have started to get worse in the supe world, with one supe on her way to becoming vice president and another leaning even more into far-right supe supremacy. MM is also having to work directly with the CIA and the future president in The Boys universe, leading to even more pressure. MM's story has gotten even more complicated in The Boys season 4, and Laz Alonso is still around to portray it.
MM's New Role In The Boys Season 4 Makes His Future More Exciting
His Approach Is Different Than Butcher's
As the new leader of the Boys, MM's new role in The Boys season 4 makes his future even more exciting. In the first two seasons, MM didn't have nearly as much going on as the other members of the Boys. MM's approach to taking down Vought is far more complicated than Butcher's guns blazing plan, with MM's CIA partnership and A-Train plan meaning that The Boys season 4 could finally see the titular team make some progress.
